Kaiya Diestler (known online as both Dreamy and Dreamless Sleep) is a twenty-something artist from the wonderful little state of Nebraska (super cool, I know). In fact, they were actually born and raised in a cornfield.*
They are disabled, an Indigenous American, and a Nonbinary person, and these aspects of their identity play a big part in the art that they make and the stories they tell. Personality wise, they are veeeeeery unserious and wacky, but also very mushy and emotional (they even cried one time when they ran over a butterfly with a lawn mower).
They graduated in 2025 from the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) with a BFA in Studio Art. (They just can't seem to leave this place, huh?)
Their experience in the realm of higher education has been pivotal to who they have become as a creator, and it has helped them define what they want to do as an artist going forward!
Maybe one day they'll finally escape from the corn...

I'm a multi-disciplined artist, but I specialize in traditional and digital drawing. My work focuses largely on figurative art and character illustration.
However, I am also adept in:
Poetry
Prose writing (novels, short stories, etc.)
Music
Sculpture
Photography
Sewing + other fiber arts (Costuming/Cosplay, garment making, etc.)
I am a storyteller by nature, and I have been passionately working on many narrative-based projects that are near and dear to my heart. You can find information about past projects and the different things I am currently doing here!
I take inspiration for my work from many places,
including but not limited to:
★ Artists such as James Fenner and Nicole Sands

★ Various styles, movements, and subjects such as: eyestrain art, Metamodernism, Abstract Expressionism, op art, gore, and body horror.
★ Personal experiences/stories: Much of my work while in college surrounded my experiences with mental disorders, identity crises, and various struggles that I have had to overcome in my life in order to make it to where I am today.
(Yeesh, talk about the tortured artist stereotype...)
